Location: Mumbai

Job Description

• Expected to identify, track, file and follow stories on their own.
• Write stories and articles to be printed/ broadcasted
• Send mailer with talk points/questionnaire.
• Take photos or video footage if required.
• Give live reports from site of event.
• Collect and analyse information about newsworthy events.
• Meet all deadlines as requested by managing editor.
• Focus on producing accurate and factual stories.
• Coordinating with PR and industry experts for story inputs.
• Interviewing industry leaders.
• Ensure adequate responses for the planed stories.
• Proofreading complete pages check credentials.
• Attending press events, Webinars.
• Cover a wide variety of stories, Track influencers work
• Give live reports from site of event Investigate and pitch new story ideas.
• Collect and analyse information about newsworthy events.
• Create relationships with members of the local community

Skills Required

• Local experience is required. Need to have key contacts in the area
• Language proficiency in English and Marathi is expected.
• Hindi will be an added advantage but not a mandate
• Experience – 0 to 04 years in print, broadcast or digital media.
• Passion for journalism that fulfills audience needs.
• Able to work within a tight deadline.
• Writing stories / articles –
• Knowledge about the entertainment industry. (TV, OTT, Bollywood)
• Should be flexible in writing 20-25 articles – Should be flexible in timings
• Should be having good writing skills
• Should be ready to learn

Education qualification

Degree / Diploma in Journalism from a reputed institution
