The Republic day celebrations were rolling out smoothly on Rajpath. Not far away from that place, the body of a farmer agitator wrapped in a tricolor was found near the police headquarters in central Delhi.

Police in riot gear stormed a rally in ITO, a few minutes away from Rajpath, India Gate, Parliament House removing hundreds of protesters by force. This is where a farmer’s tractor overturned and died.

Who was the protesting farmer who died?

The name of the deceased farmer was Navneet Singh and he was about 27-28 years old. According to some, the farmer was in his forties.

The largest number of farmers protesting on the Delhi border are from Punjab. But the deceased farmer was from Uttarakhand. It is learned that he was a resident of a village called Bajpur in Uttarakhand state.

The farmer Navneet Singh was driving the tractor himself. Preliminary information is coming to light that he died due to overturning of his tractor. But no definite information has come to light about how the tractor overturned.
